The National Express coach service from London to Bath is a gorgeous drive, replete with small villages, rolling hills ending in forests, and brick country abodes. Bath seems to be lacking most of the Tudor-style buildings, instead favoring a very uniform sandstone aesthetic, giving the city that Roman look. My first stop is Bath Abbey, which is basically at the fulcrum of the city, just off the River Avon and at the edge of the downtown area.
Bath Abbey is pretty cool. But I show up right as it's closing. I get the ground-floor pictures I was expecting, and then head out. Okay, now to the pictures.
